National Human Resources & Compliance Manager
Years in Industry 3
Started at Direct 2017
In your own words, what does your role involve? As the Human Resources Manager my primary role is to act as a support and advisor to Directors, Managers and Staff. A key element of my role is creating and communicating company policies and procedures regarding employee performance and welfare. My day is kept busy with Policy Design/Implementation, Training, Learning and Development, Employee and Industrial Relations as well as ensuring we are compliant with Health and Safety and Governance. Having worked in the Operations side of the business as the Fleet Manager for the last 3 years I have a considerable amount of knowledge in regards to Chain of Responsibility. My philosophy is that my door is always open for anyone that needs to have a chat.
What do you like most about working at Direct Couriers? The family environment, this may sound like a generic response, but this is evident by the amount of long serving staff who work here. I still remember so many faces from when I worked here in the call centre in 2006. The best part is, every day is a challenge, there is never a dull moment. I genuinely love coming into work every day. Everyone is here to work, but we all work together as a team to achieve one goal, and that is for Direct Couriers to continue to be a leader in this industry, and to provide a service level above the expectation of our customers, and provide a happy and prosperous environment for all our Staff and Sub-Contractors.
