What's the role?

Based out of our Head Office, the Linehaul Operations person is primarily responsible for supervising and optimising the despatch of long-haul freight movements, and maintaining compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) standards, Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.

As the Linehaul Operations person, you will play a key role in ensuring on-time departures as well as the seamless coordination between subcontractors and customers. You will serve as the primary point of contact for drivers and liaise with various departments to ensure service level adherence and cost effectiveness.

What you need is:

To be successful, the ideal applicant will have the following skills, attributes and experience:

  • Previous experience working within the transport industry in a similar role

  • Excellent communication skills (written, listening and verbal)

  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Good understanding of the geographical suburbs in and around the capital cities

  • Strong computer knowledge

  • Resilience, passion and ability to work at pace and under pressure

  • A high level of motivation and energy with a strong focus on achieving outstanding customer experience results

  • Confidence working Transport Management Systems (TMS) and GPS tracking platforms
