Over the years Direct Couriers has partnered with The Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) to support their research and affect the commercial deliveries associated with Jeans for Genes Day.
Jeans for Genes Day is a national day when people wear their jeans to raise much-needed funds for research into birth defects and diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, and a range of genetic disorders.
On Friday 2nd August 2013, workplaces, schools and streets became a sea of denim in a united stance against childhood disease. Every dollar raised on the day will help scientists at Children's Medical Research Institute discover treatments and cures to give every child the opportunity to live a long and healthy life.
As a supporter of the cause, Direct Couriers donated 50c for every delivery sent on Friday 2nd August 2013, Australia wide.
Our clients, drivers and staff helped to raise $2266.30 towards Children's Medical Research in 2013.
To help CMRI and Jeans for Genes Day, you can donate through their website. Your support is appreciated!
