The Cold Facts

Andrews Refrigerated Transport undergoes a facelift to launch our new and exciting Refrigerated Transport Division called Direct Cold.

It has been only a few months since Direct Couriers announced the acquisition of Andrews Refrigerated Transport and the launch of Direct Cold, our new Refrigerated Transport division specialising in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and perishable goods.

As part of our integration plan, we have incorporated all the technology benefits that Direct Couriers offers you, such as online booking, Notification alerts, Live GPS tracking, reporting and we can even provide the transported temperature directly on the POD instantly.

Along  with the launch of the new division, we have undergone a rebranding process for all of our new fleet of refrigerated vehicles.

The first stage of the facelift process was to design the logo that incorporated Direct Couriers but included the new specialised COLD division.

Once completed, we created variations of the logo that would work seamlessly along a semi-trailer right down to the smallest ute.

Our first truck to be rebranded was the 12 pallet refrigerated vehicle from Andrews Refrigerated Transport.

Follow the journey below with our first Direct Cold vehicle to undergo the facelift.

Thinking Inside the Box !

Since inception in 1983 we have always looked outside of the box with our Research and development for new technology solutions for customers. We were one of the first companies in the Australian marketplace to introduce sign on glass technology, live GPS tracking of the delivery driver, and even automatically notifying customers when the shipment is within 6km radius of delivery.

Today we are taking our R&D that one step further by thinking inside the box!

After many discussions with our customers who ship high value items, we were told they wanted the additional security of not only being able to track the delivery driver every step of the way, they wanted to be able to track the exact whereabouts of their package anywhere they shipped it. That is either local, interstate or anywhere in the world, day or night.

The challenge was accepted and we have been trialing a new tracking device, the size of a credit card that provides on demand location tracking at any time, from anywhere in the world utilizing a GSM cellular network.

Depending on the frequency of location reports, the tracking device can last up to 4 months on a single charge and can be tracked directly from a mobile phone, tablet or computer.

Barry Reichman, Managing Director of Direct Couriers stated that we are always listening to our customers needs and invest heavily in bringing to market the latest technology solutions that will enable us to continue to bring the superior service our customers expect.

Once our initial trials are completed, we will release our new tracking option for customers that require full visibility of their shipment at anytime, anywhere.

New Website with Credit Card Payment Facility

Direct Couriers have Launched our new Website that now includes a Credit Card Payment Portal for Non Account holders.

Along with the refreshed design and improved visibility for use on computers, tablets and mobiles, our new website allows non account holders to experience our superior service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

So for those one off urgent same day metropolitan deliveries that just has to be there, simply use your credit card, book your job and leave the rest to us.

Non Account customers, simply select the Credit Card Payment tab, enter your job and payment details and quickly receive a quote, then pay and book all at the one time.
The job will be automatically booked and the details emailed to you along with your invoice statement.

For customers with regular ongoing shipments, simply call or email our sales team and we will set up your account and provide your login directly to our booking system and we will bill you on a weekly basis.
